Fintech2023Backend and infrastructure

Vigyoscenter

Fintech backend handling accounts, transactions, and reconciliation, deployed on AWS behind CI/CD with zero-downtime releases.

99.95%

Uptime on the AWS infrastructure I designed

-30%

Deployment cost after right-sizing and CI/CD

~40%

Faster delivery once releases were automated

The problem

Money moving through a system means two things are not negotiable: the ledger has to agree with itself, and a deploy can never drop a request mid-flight.

What I built

  • Account and transaction services with reconciliation running as its own job rather than inline with the request.
  • Zero-downtime releases: new containers come up, health checks pass, then traffic shifts and the old ones drain.
  • CI/CD that builds, tests, and ships on merge, which removed the manual release checklist entirely.
  • Right-sized instances and tuned Nginx and MySQL, which is where most of the cost saving came from.

What it moved

  • Infrastructure holds 99.95% uptime.
  • Deployment cost fell roughly 30% with no loss of headroom.
  • Delivery got about 40% faster, measured on how long a change takes to reach production.
